Asus TUF 3080 Ti 12GB
In HiveOS:
Core 0
Mem +3800
PL 225W
Fan 70%
270-275 MH/s
Nanominer
42C card temp (wish we could see VRAM temps too…!)
Mostly stable but getting a few rejected shares - ‘Invalid nonce size’ errors.
The error message refers to the miner potentially being incompatible with Nicehash but the errors disappear after restarting the miner.
wow your settings looks good, I’m also using 3080 Ti but from PNY brand, current settings core +0, mem +1700, PL 63%, fans 68% around 267-270mh. Gonna try your setting too, wonder if it’s gonna work cause if i lower the PL the hashrate went down…
Is there some kind of temperature issue when mining with ERGO?
I got a few 3070ti’s mining and I noticed that the temps have risen a bit and all of a sudden, the hash rates dropped from 180mhs to 140mhs. I then had to up the power to one of them just to get it back to 180, otherwise it would stay at around 150.
What miner are you using? For vega trm is only choice IMO. Also on screens you provided your mem is sitting on 845mhz. Set it to 900 if it doesn’t work, try to increase soc MHz a little like 848-850
Got Vega 56 on TRM. If I get to 900, it crashes (dead GPU). This GPU is trash but at least it works (kinda).
As fo the 3070ti’s, I noticed something.
As soon as both the EVGA models hit 50C, that is when the hash rates would crash. But as soon as I give it a few more wattage, it is stable. If it drops to below 50C, I can move the wattage down to 170 and it works.
I assume it has to do with power loss via heat? Not sure.
I dont see how it is overheating when the gpu temp is 50C. What do you think would the VRAM temps be then?
I have vega 56 nitro+. Its not greatest model of vega but it runs on 900mhz mem with no issues. Its all matter of tuning it up. 169mh I wouldn’t call it crap.
Don’t know much about 30 series cards but 50c temp is just core temp. It can be memory crashing of temperatures.
I am unsure of that, ERGO isn’t as demanding on VRAM from my understanding.
Plus it runs fine now after power increase. Doesn’t make sense to me why a power increase would stabilize it when the GPU reaches 50C. I am not sure on the science behind it.
@ 7:21 he shows a RTX 3080ti at 66C and VRAM is at 92C and both 3070ti and 3080ti use same vram - GDDR6X.
GDDR6X is good up to 110C before it throttles. 90 - 100C is ok for long endurance from what I have read.
As an FYI, I decided to try ERGO mining on my main mining rig which constitutes of 2x 3080 and 3x 3070’s (all non LHR cards) and this is my temps on VRAM:
here is what i run with my vega 56 cards. temps seems high because i have them in a grow tent with only 2x 100cfm fans intaking/exhausting outside air. i can push them to 150mh with negligible additional power but like i said im limited by the fans atm
i want to ask if anyone has looked into the mi25 cards. on paper comparign against the vega 56 they are beefed up versions. i am thinking i could flash the bios to vega 56, open them up and strap cooling fans to them. they are selling around $750 on ebay atm which is lower then 56/64/fe. i havent seen anyone post autolykos hashrate for these, or if they even work with hiveos. i believe flashing it to vega 56 it would work? if you have any info on these cards, as well as the mi50, etc i would appreciate hearing it, thanks.
