I’ve heard a lot of complaints about the mining difficulty adjustments and the need for an update, I feel like I need some clarification, hopefully by the team. Many miners are feeling discouraged and are jumping ship to other opportunities because of how difficulty is being adjusted, it seems to ramp up quickly but stay far too long at a higher difficulty and takes a long time to lower.
This creates a situation where you have large scale miners jumping on when it lowers then leaving the small miners to deal with the high difficulty as they leave for more profitable coins. I understand to some effect that it is tied to Epochs but I believe this is a far too slow of a method. Difficulty should be adjusted with as little lag time as possible to current network hashrate. Would love to hear from anyone on this matter.
