StableCoin and ReserveCoin Names

Let’s discuss StableCoin and ReserveCoin names again. Then we can do short list and Telegram poll.

I was a bit drunk during the chat so can remember SigmaUSD only.

How to name the ReserveCoin if StableCoin is Sigma?

Also I proposed RebelCash / RebelShare.

CipherUSD- cUSD, second place SigmaUSD - ΣUSD

If we want a good ticker, looking at what is still available on coinmarketcap with one letter before USD we have:
kUSD (keyUSD? USD of which you own your private keys! or maybe some ideas here: Words that start with k | k words | Words starting with k)
fUSD
jUSD (just USD?)
wUSD (wrapped USD?)

For the reserve coin:
ERGx for Variable ERG (as x means variable in math).

Unfortunately there is already a cUSD on coinmarketcap (Celo Dollar).
Problem with sigma is that you don’t have the Σ symbol at hand on the keyboard?

Ergo is greek

Kusd

A good k word is kinesis

It is Greek it means motion or movement. Liquidity is defi kinesis.

Put in ergo *work
Get kinesis *movement.

Or it could be kusd to honor the main dev.

Immortalized on a coin not a bad idea.

‘kinesis’ is good too, maybe less easily memorable as ‘key’, also less common, but that’s good, and very very nice meaning, love it.

Regarding kinesis, I just found that: How to purchase KAU on the Kinesis exchange using USD – Kinesis

But there is also some key usd existing from a protocol named key KEY USD Synthetic Candlestick Chart - Investing.com
But k could also refer to some kind of constant, as it’s value is constant and stable:
Boltzmann constant - Wikipedia
or the Coulomb constant

I think paying attention to the ticker could be a good idea. Nice proposals.

Kusd kushtiusd in community. K as a constant for the world
Ergx erg variable

USDE, stands for USD Ergo or Ergo USD and it’s pronounced like USD so it’s like a word play

I like Σ$ / ΣUSD a lot! CipherUSD (cUSD) as well.

Maybe ΣShare or CipherShare for the Reserve Coin

USD Ergo (USDE) that’s a solid idea. ΣShare for the Reserve Coin?

Wouldn’t the Σ sign play against mass adoption if you can’t find it on your keyboard?

That could be true. In lists on exchanges and whatnot it may show up first? But looking it up on coingecko/coinmarketcap would be odd unless people also used EUSD or something

If our stable USD becomes a big hit and reaches a high market cap, it would be probably visible in coinmarketcap as is USDT now for example. But probably no one sorts the list of coins in alphabetical order.

So far this is what I have seen. Could have missed some…

Rebelcash/rebelshare

Cipherusd(taken?/similar exists)/sigmausd

kUSD/ERGx

Σusd / Σ$

Sterg/reserg

Eusd(taken?)/Eres

For tickers

USDE (taken?)
kUSD
ΣUSD

So what is the method of deciding/chosing?

I suggest to write it like this kUSD / ERGx
Checked on Coinmarketcap and:

  • bitUSD already exists
  • eUSD also (created by Epay)
  • USDE also (Dollar Electronico)
  • There’s a “cypher mobile” coin, could be potentially misleading?
  • There’s already a LONG COIN on coinmarketcap
I would check on coinmarketcap before creating a poll on Telegram.
